WHISTLER REVIEWS
"We did have a good time and thanks for setting us up at the price you did and last minute."
Destination: I find Whistler too big and city like now. The parking is difficult and stressful and it’s not really a pedestrian village given it’s size and certainly not with ski boots and a couple of pair of skis that racers have. I just like the smaller resorts like Panorama, Red Mountain, Fernie etc. better. Satisfactory on-mountain experience, slope grooming. Mediocre snow quality. Good village, atmosphere, restaurants, availability of information. Satisfactory shopping, friendliness of locals.
Accommodation: It was fine. Pretty standard, good kitchenette facilities for my needs. Parking is a problem. I had Ford Escape with Thule box and couldn’t fit in underground. So I had to keep moving my car at night to Parking Lot 4, a 10 minute walk away. They tell you not to leave any valuables in your car but the Alpenglow does not have individually locked ski lockers (just a big cage accessible by all valid room keys) and no tuning facilities. Good quality, cleanliness, amenities. Satisfactory location, check-in/out. Mediocre service.

Destination: Great skiing but would have been much better if the snow conditions were better. Good mountain food and not too expensive. Excellent on-mountain experience, satisfactory snow quality, mediocre slope grooming. Very good village, atmosphere, restaurants, shopping, activities. Good friendliness of locals, availability of information.
Accommodation: Good quality, cleanliness, amenities, location. Satisfactory service, check-in/out. Again, hotel should have informed us that it was a gay week considering that we are a heterosexual couple. Ski concierge was excellent but the breakfast staff were dreadful.

Destination: Snow quality exceeded all expectations. Excellent village, on-mountain experience, grooming, restaurants and friendliness of locals. Very good atmosphere, shopping, activities and availability of information. Good transfer services.

Road Transportation: Very good driver, good comfort, cleanliness, vehicle quality, satisfactory punctuality.

"A+ skiing destination."
Destination: Availability of information exceeded all expectations. Excellent village, atmosphere and friendliness of locals. Very good restaurants and shopping.
Accommodation: "Great location, excellent staff and facilities." Cleanliness exceeded all expectations. Excellent location and service. Very good quality and amenities. Good check-in/check-out.
Activities: "The rental staff were outstanding in both service and technical advice." Skiing/snowboarding, on-mountain experience, slope grooming and rentals all exceeded expectations. Excellent snow quality.
Road Transportation: "It is always nice to have a friendly face, on both occassions, to deal with." Punctuality exceeded expectations. Excellent vehicle quality, cleanliness, comfort and driver ability.

Delta Sun Peaks Resort - The Residences, January 2010
Destination: Good atmosphere and friendliness of locals. Village, restaurants, shopping nothing special. Abysmal availability of information. Nice spot, not as accessible as we were lead to believe. Really need a car to get around if you are staying outside of core village hotels, especially if you have young children. No public transport or taxi service is a real gap - not very environmentally friendly or safe for that matter.
Good on-mountain experience and snow quality. Satisfactory skiing/snowboarding. Slope grooming nothing special. Again, on-mountain experience from a food and beverage side was adequate - fairly good value - but options were limited. For me (advanced skier), there was too much grooming and not enough natural slopes. Fine for kids and beginners, could have had a few more ungroomed slopes.
Accommodation (lodge): Booked direct by guest. Very good location, service, check-in/out. Satisfactory quality and cleanliness. Amenities nothing special. Fairly spartan amenities there - eg: no beverage coasters, no placemats. Good space but needs a significant upgrade to warrant the prices being charged. Very expensive for what you get - not worth it - even with excellent location. Bigger, better mountains have better accommodations at better price than Cahilty Lodge.
Accommodation (condo): Booked direct by guest. Excellent quality, cleanliness, amenities. Very good check-in/out. Location nothing special. Settler's unit was outstanding and perfectly fit our needs but it was not as close to village as we thought. You must have a car to use any of village amenities, especially with young children. Having a local phone book in the unit would have been really helpful.
Road Transportation: Service from the limo company - driver was James - was outstanding. He really took care of us. Thanks!! Punctuality, comfort and driver ability were above and beyond. Excellent cleanliness. Very good vehicle quality. Great service from James!

Nancy Greene's Cahilty Lodge & Settler's Creek, March 2009
A very well organized resort with very friendly staff. Very quiet pistes. Would highly recommend this resort except airport to resort transfer bus. I would also like to add that Sun Peaks is probably one of the best resorts I have skied for all levels. I have skied a lot of Europe and ski at a fairly high standard (ex instructor). I have never been to such a friendly resort with everyone being so helpful. I would love to go back with perfect snow conditions as I think that some of the off piste/back country would be amazing. I also took a snowboard lesson in Sun Peaks and was very impressed with the School. It’s a shame that Nancy Greene is now a Senator as she’s not around so often for skiing as I would have loved to ski with her.
Destination: Excellent on-mountain experience. Good snow quality and slope grooming. Grooming was good once you realize that not all runs are groomed everyday – you need to check the grooming report daily. Excellent friendliness of locals, availability of information. Very good village and atmosphere. Good restaurants, shopping, activities.
Accommodation: Signature club was well worth the extra. Very friendly and sociable hotel. Excellent location. Very good quality, cleanliness, amenities, service, check-in/out.
Road Transportation: Kamloops to Sun Peaks: The only real gripe was that the coach was pretty old and tired and really uncomfortable. Sun Peaks to Whistler: Minibus is too small and overbooked. Very cramped for such a long journey and not enough luggage space for number of passengers – driver was very good. Very good punctuality, driver ability. Satisfactory vehicle quality, cleanliness. Poor comfort.

Accommodation: Excellent quality, cleanliness, amenities, location, service, and check-in/out. Would be nice if they dealt with the garbage.

Very good village and restaurants. Good activities, satisfactory shopping. Good transfer service: Excellent punctuality, very good vehicle quality, cleanliness, comfort and driver ability.
Accommodation: Excellent location, service and check-in/out. Very good quality and cleanliness, good amenities. Such friendly staff (we realised how friendly when we went to Silver Star and they were no way near as friendly!)

Coast Sundance Lodge, December 2008
Destination: Excellent village and atmosphere. Very good friendliness of locals, and restaurants - only went out for dinner once and it was difficult to get in anywhere without res's - to be expected at Christmas. Good on-mountain experience and slope grooming, satisfactory snow quality. Good availability of information. Busy but fun - we have been there many times and love it.
Accommodation: Excellent location. Good amenities and check-in/out. Satisfactory quality and cleanliness. Nice to have a heated garage. The snow removal service was excellent and thorough.

Destination: Nice, well laid out, clean village. Too quiet to judge atmosphere. Only one restaurant open on the Tuesday night and two on the Wednesday night. Only two or three shops open. Golf and bush walking the only things to do. Very good friendliness of local people. Good information centre and in the hotel reception. Generally, much too quiet. It didn't seem like anybody was in town.
Accommodation:Ideal location in the centre of town. Very good quality and cleanliness. Comfortable. Amenities poor as they were all closed. Service ok with a few little things wrong. Ok check-in/out but hardly anyone in reception.

Destination: Village was lovely as always. Weather perfect, thanks for bringing it in for us! Managed to buy a few things. Walking the ski trails was perfect.
Accommodation: Very good, the chalet was perfect for our group. We had everything we needed. Hot tub was very nice. Good location. Thanks for accommodating us with check in/out times.

"Other then these issues, the holiday was great. We got a pool/slope side condo in the Panorama Springs so that our parents could watch my daughter ski on the bunny hill. We also had good access to the pool and hottubs and the hill wasn't very busy at all so it was good."

REVELSTOKE REVIEWS
"We did have a great time at Revelstoke & the Snow Cat Skiing was the highlight of the week. We will see what happens next year, but we have been trying different ski areas each year. This is one place that I would like to come back to."

The top of the mountain was excellent, the snow at the bottom had a lot of shrubs showing through. Excellent restaurants, friendliness of locals, and availability of information.
