General Booking Policies



At any point during the planning, and duration of, your vacation, please don't hesitate to contact us if you have questions or concerns.

We want you to have a worry-free experience and will do everything we can to help you achieve that!


GENERAL PAYMENT POLICIES

We accept major credit cards and direct deposit payments via PayPal. This secure online method of payment means that you do not have to transmit your credit card information to us at all! The details go directly to PayPal, which is renowned internationally as a secure online payment service.

If the value of your arrangements is less than, or approximately equal to, the value of the deposit required, full payment will be required upon confirmation of arrangements.

In the case of packages excluding accommodation, a non-refundable deposit to the value of 50% of each person's arrangements will be required.

We regret we are not able to switch credit cards (ie: refund one card and charge to another credit card) once payment has been processed.

DEPOSIT

Whistler & Sun Peaks: A deposit of two nights' accommodation per unit, or C$250.00 per person, whichever is greater, is required upon confirmation of lodging arrangements.

Panorama: A non-refundable deposit of 25% (35% for Earl Grey Lodge) of the total value of the reservation is required upon confirmation of lodging arrangements.

During peak season eg: Christmas/New Year period, President's Week, full payment for accommodation at some properties may be required immediately upon confirmation of your reservation. Such payments are non-refundable. Cancellation insurance is strongly recommended.

BALANCE OF PAYMENT

Full payment will be due 45 calendar days prior to commencement of any arrangements booked through Compass Tours. We will remind you of the due date ahead of time so that you can make the necessary payments via PayPal. Please be aware that late payment, or non-payment, jeopardizes the security of your confirmed arrangements which may be cancelled without further notice due to non-payment.

If your reservation is made less than 45 days prior to arrival, full payment will be due immediately upon confirmation of arrangements.

Please note that some properties demand full payment 60 days prior to arrival. If this is the case, we will inform you in good time.

CANCELLATION POLICIES & AMENDMENT POLICIES

No-Shows

Guests who, without prior notice, fail to arrive at the prepaid accommodation or fail to participate in prepaid activities or services, will forfeit the entire value of the reservation.

Cancellation of Confirmed Accommodation

Cancellations received more than 45 days prior to arrival will be refunded the value of the deposit less any penalty charge levied by the property manager, plus a C$50.00/unit administration fee.

Cancellations received less than 45 days prior to arrival are subject to stricter penalties which will depend on the circumstances, ie: reason for cancellation, proximity to arrival date, time of year, etc. There will be a minimum penalty of one night's accommodation per unit plus a C$50.00/unit administration fee, and a maximum of full forfeiture, depending on the property. The extent of the penalty for cancellations made less than 45 days prior to arrival is assigned by the property manager and is not negotiable.

A general rule-of-thumb is that the full value of the reservation will be forfeited if the booking is cancelled after balance of payment has been received.

There will be no refunds for early check-outs.

Cancellation at any time due to exchange rate fluctuations, over which neither Compass Tours nor its partners have any control, are not refundable.

Note: During peak period at some properties there will be no refund for cancellations received after reservations have been confirmed.

Cancellation of Confirmed Activity or Service

Once an activity/service has been confirmed, there may be a cancellation penalty, the value of which varies, levied by the outfitter in addition to an administration fee of C$10.00/person/item.

Activities/services cancelled less than seven days prior to the activity/service are non-refundable.

Packages of activities/services that exclude accommodation are 100% non-refundable after full payment has been processed.

Cancellation at any time due to exchange rate fluctuations, over which neither Compass Tours nor its partners have any control, are not refundable.

We strongly recommend travel insurance.

Note: Weather-related cancellation of an activity/service is strictly the domain of the operator. If a guest is considering cancelling due to weather conditions, the guest will still be expected to check in for the activity at the appointed time and location, and be ready to participate. If the activity operator then agrees that a weather-cancellation will be authorized and a refund should be processed, it is the guest's responsibility to insist that the operator email Compass Tours with an authorization to refund, indicating the refund amount. A C$10.00/person/item administration fee will be charged.

Changes to Confirmed Accommodation, Activities or Services

A C$50.00 administration fee may be charged to change accommodation arrangements after the original reservation has been confirmed. This will be in addition to any penalty, which will vary from property to property, that is levied by the lodging provider.

Changes to confirmed activities/services, for whatever reason, may be charged a C$10.00/person/item administration fee, in addition to any charges applied by the activity operator.
