Compass Tours operates with the knowledge and consent of the umbrella tourism bodies of each destination: Tourism Whistler, Tourism Sun Peaks, and Panorama Mountain Resort. 

Established by its owner, Tanya De Leeuw, in September 2004, Compass Tours is properly registered at the relevant provincial and federal levels of government in B.C., Canada.

Tanya was born and raised in South Africa. It was there that she started her career in the travel and tourism industry, in which she has worked in various capacities since 1990.

Tanya also lived abroad for several years, in Austria, Switzerland, the UK, and Australia. In addition, she has travelled to other southern African countries, as well as the Indian Ocean Islands, Europe, and the Far East.

In 1994 Tanya settled in Canada, with her husband, Paul, and their dog, a Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever called Taela. They currently reside in B.C., near Panorama resort.

Today Tanya's love affair with the mountains, which first germinated in the Alps of Austria & Switzerland, became a passion when she moved to the mountains of British Columbia, and continues to flourish as she helps her valued clients make the most of their visits to Whistler, Sun Peaks, Panorama and Vancouver!
